WoT Cast 2

The second video in my - hopefully - long list of Wheel of Time casts. This one is for the Great Hunt. Enjoy and check back in a few weeks (or some more, I'm going on holiday tomorrow) for the third. Please leave a - respectfull - comment.

1.Siuan Sanche Lucy Russell: the icy look, her shortness and not-so-skinny-ness. I also think her age is pretty hard to estimate.
2.Leane Sharif Jessica Alba: tall, tanned, beautiful and able to seduce men. I also thought of Halle Berry, but I just really dont like her :P
3.Hurin James Kyson Lee: I dont know a lot of Asian actors/actresses, but I think he could play the skinny, nervous Shienaran couldnt he?
4.Agelmar Jagad Ken Watanabe: I think he can play a leader, strong, serious, very tough. Maybe hes too young, but we have computers for that.
5.Ingtar Shinowa Chow Yun-Fat: Just because hes a really good actor, hell be able to play both sides of Ingtar.
6.Masema Ray Stevenson: He looks like a warrior in real life, tough and indestructible. Hes also pretty impressive as the later leader of the army operating in Rands name.
7.Uno Ray Winstone: He looks good like the kind of guy who fights and curses every day of his life. I imagined Uno to be rather stout and not so tall, like Ray.
8.Lanfear Catherine Zeta-Jones: Not a very difficult choice. Shes just the most beautiful dark-haired woman of that age I can think of. She can be persuasive, but also evil.
9.Liandrin Nicole Kidman: The ice-cold fair-haired woman. Nicole Kidman can do bad guys, I really liked her in The Golden Compass.
10.Sheriam Miranda Otto: Shell need to gain some weight, but when it comes to hair color, age and face, she looks like the Sheriam I depicted in my head. She can look very friendly, but also very strict.
11.Alanna Jennifer Garner: Tall, pale but with dark hair and pretty. A lot of actresses could play this not so major role, but I liked her best. She gets a bigger part later on, of course, and I think she can pull it off.
12.Verin Matwin Miriam Margolyes: Im sorry about the happy picture, there are only happy pictures of her. I dont think Verin laughs a lot. But she can play the role, shes short and plump, older than the other women, and she definitely can look blank and pin you down on your seat with a glance.
13.Alviarin Alicia Silverstone: I especially like this picture. Shes not very pretty, she looks cool and cold and dangerous. You can easily imagine her being of the Black Ajah, right?
14.Egeanin Carrie-Ann Moss: I dont really have an image of her, but Carrie-Ann is tall, dark and pale, and a skilled fighter. Or, at least, she has some movie experience. She also has sort of an un-earthly face, dont you think? She can pass as an exotic Seanchan.

I believe you :) I had no idea, tho, I thought that Asians were about the closest thing to Shienarans etc. So what 'real' people would you suggest?

lol, shouldn't masema and uno be asian actors since the characters are from Shienar?

I guess so, but I don't really know a lot of Asian actors... :)

You can see who the actors are in the description on the right. You're right about those two, anyway, and Siuan Sanche is Lucy Russell.

@GilraenPalantir Seanchan is not Asian in appearance, their culture is based on ancient Asian cultures but they look European with a strong pocket of the population, including the Imperial family who are black. Several Borderland nations however have Asian appearance.

Shienarans ARE NOT ASIAN. These asian actors are excellent choices, but FYI- no one from the Westlands is considered Asian.

@GilraenPalantir The Seanchan would be played by Asian and African actors. The Boarderlanders are closer to Native Americans. Taylor Lautner would be a good actor for Hurin.

you know whats funny, in the books it is always said that the aes sedai have a certain agelesness, and if you take a 40 year old actress with all the plastic surgery and botox, you know she is 40 and kinda looks like it, but also only looks like 30, it creates the perfect aes sedai look.
