New feature for Snowglobe I'm playing with: Aligning textures across several prim faces as if they were one face. Unfortunately, that only works in Planar texture mapping.

Patch is at http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SNOW-586

Edit: Now included in Snowglobe 1.4 test builds (3371 and later):

  • Aww I got 1.4 and the check box doesn't appear when I select planar

  • @etheriaparrott: It is included in the latest Snowglobe 1.4.0.3371 test build, and should soon be in Snowglobe 2.0.1 too (waiting on UI review...).

The checkbox should always be there, only it is grayed out unless all selected faces are set to planar mapping. If it isn't... well, I messed something up.

  • Well this makes texturing about a million times easier. You're an absolute genius, man. When will this be in a public viewer?

  • @AdeonWriter: Heh, thanks. It will probably be in Snowglobe 1.4.

  • Thank you!! I had indeed downloaded the standard 1.4. I now have the test build and the texture aligning is available to me. I want to thank you for your awesome contribution Thickbrick. The texture aligning is fantastic!

  • Can already do this with scripts but I'd love to see it in the UI. It would save a lot of time dropping scripts and markers.
