After a few trial and error I came up with an idea that I am fairly happy with. Thanks for showing this stove off so that I could create the one I did. Give me a little more time and I will make one very close to the zip stove itself.

I have had one of those stoves for many years now, and it still works great.
Try using 3/4" x 4" glue dowels (beechwood dowels used in furnature making).
