The Japanese rice paper is very thin. Some tips for you:
1)Put some fabric on your table and then above that 2 layers of heavy paper like poster paper.
2)Increase the presure and heat gradually. Set it on "ryan". I will do some more demo later. You learn by doing it.

USPS First Class Mail International 14.99 flat for up to 5 yard. Yes, you can mount large painting without having to post it onto a board to dry. So it is much easier than wet mounting. The width is 36".

I tried your rice paper today - I found it a bit difficult to iron out the creases LOL I ended up making more.

Have you see my latest demo? You may spray the original painting evenly with water, wait for a few minutes to let lt spread out, then iron it onto the silicone paper very gentally with a used silicone paper covering it. Don't press the iron.
