@RalphMarx Even, I am more interested in World War II from a military perspective. I think, that would be the last major war, which dragged almost for 6 years. I don't think that anything like World War II would repeat again, because of the advent of nuclear weapons. The only positive side of this war was we got some good war movies to watch :):)

Von Rundstedt , who was group field marshal of western operations , was a brilliant man himself on paper , but due to political meddling, he was fired and Hitler took control of all western front activity and ultimately led to the horrorific disaster of Battle of Bulge.
Im looking at this at a military viewpoint nothing to do with politics
