I first heard this song when I was younger, in watching Barbie of Swan Lake. It felt like something magical, fantasy, mixed with sadness and longing. This song is indescribably amazing. I am a musician now, and I adore this song even more now that I understand its origins. My regards to you, Tchaikovsky.

Poor Tchaikovsky: hounded to death by the cruel homophobia of his time. Which is not much worse then now
