University of Toronto IHI Open School

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is an independent, not-for-profit organization that aims to continuously improve patient care. They provide a variety of resources to healthcare professionals and students to help achieve that goal, including the IHI Open School.

The IHI Open School is an interprofessional and educational community for students, where they can learn the necessary skills to lead system change. The School has more than 300 chapters all over the world, including here at the University of Toronto. The vision of our chapter is that every U of T healthcare student both practices and teaches quality improvement and patient safety.
