i have no idea how anyone could dislike this performance. reality is stranger than i can obviously imagine

truly one of life's musical treasures. the hi c at 2:45 is as good as it gets in the tenor range. while i've enjoyed many great singers, for me, there will only be one "maestro".

Pavarotti could still hit the Hi-C sharp then. For an even more impressive version look for his live rendition in Catania in 1968. Also the one in his first "solo album" from 1969 where he holds the note forever...!
