  • How scary was a year round place like this compared to an event like halloween horror nights?

  • When I worked at Skull Kingdom there were years that it was much better than HHN. We had longer lines and much better scares. But you have to understand, we worked on our skills all year round. We weren't just school kids hired for a season with a few rehearsals under our belts, we we seasoned haunted attraction actors. We did our own make up, made and maintained our own costumes, and developed our own characters.

  • what replaced this? this was oppisite wet n wild right?

  • Nothing yet...it's a vacant lot next to an IHOP.

  • It probably got pulled down because nobody went anymore coz it was so scary!!!Me and my girlfriend went with two others one night on holiday and all three of them started cryin!!!!lol!!I had to go round on my own!I was nearly cryin by the end!!!:. (

  • It got demolished for a number of reasons...mostly money. The people that owned the land had bought the attraction from the original owners 10 years ago...and ran the business into the ground. So they auctioned off the castle contents to one bidder takes all, and sold the land to a developers for a few million.

  • O-TOWN!

  • I was so confused a couple years back when driving on I-BLVD and I didn't see Skull Kingdom. I couldn't believe it was gone. Think about all the stupid shit that still stands in Orlando and they tear this awesome place down... life sucks.

  • Living near Orlando, I always passed this as a kid, and always wanted to do it :(

  • @thenextdoctor put em up on youtube and we'll have a good look and perhaps a scare or two...

  • Not fake...I worked there...I was there, this was from my cell phone. Check the location...it's a vacant lot now.

  • FAKE.

  • Oh man. I worked there for 6 months. I hated the owner but it was still my favorite job. So many memories..

  • @thenextdoctor yea i actually worked there near the end with the last owner, he just didnt give a shit about the attraction or the people he cut corners where ever he could and made it an all around ripe off, i felt so terrible working there and taking peoples money, especially after i looked at what Skull Kingdom was like in its hay day its sad really

  • Ahhhh man, it closed in '06. Anyone taped footage of the inside? I went down there in 2005 but I was too scared to go by myself (friends wouldn't go in since it wasn't Halloween). Darn, yeah reminded me of a scary movie that's why I passed.

  • Love to see the pics for sure!
