This is so utterly fake. I have almost never seen a CBSA employee be helpful, polite or objective. They are overwhelmingly rude, arrogant and ask some of the dumbest questions to Canadian citizens one could imagine. I have also sensed what looks like jealousy of international travellers at the Ottawa airport. Apart from having witnessed them harass and attempt to bar entry of Canadian citizens into Canada, one of the most insane things about the CBSA is their use of untrained "summer employees"!

we were on our way to Florida from the east coast and the U.S customs were really mean and my bro had long hair and the dude there wanted to get a blood test right there in line before we got on the plane and he tryed the same thing to a nother man that had long hair behind us like really hippys came from the US ass

With the exception of one female CBSA officer back in 2001, all my encounters with CBSA have been superb. I am an American residing in Canada and compared to the U.S. Customs and Blorder Patrol, CBSA agents truly are more professional than their American counterparts.

no...I wouldnt say they are any different from any other agency. Like every place, you have your good officers and you have your bad officers. Keep in mind that people dont like being told what they can and cant do. These guys enforce border legislation and I wouldnt be surprised that a bulk of these guys complaining were caught doing something or bringing something they werent supposed to.

@CF5LiberalFighter Is the CBSA that bad? I'm a student and they are currently putting me through the reqruitment process. I feel bad that people think this way about border officers. I will try to (unless they force me) be a respectful officer if I end up getting hired.

Will they give me a badge and authority (to gain or deny people access to their right to travel freely and interrogate them for an undetermined amount of time) if I can read off a prompter in front of me like this officer? Seems fair to me! Best part would be being able to be as rude as I wished. What a sweet ass job! How much does it pay?
