guy kinda sounds like John Goodman...

@catinreno man also implies woman because the word woman has the word "man" in it. For instance when people say all of mankind they talk about women to....its not sexist.

Have you ever used the Bowline-on-a-bight? I just learned it --- great for making the bowline in the MIDDLE of the rope when you don't have an end handy. (and as always: kick-ass vid, kick-ass info. Keep 'em coming.)

That fisherman's knot is cool and everything, but it's a bitch to untie. First try a sheet bend, then the figure 8 bend, or my preference the ultimate knot, the Zeppelin Bend to join two ropes.

Is that john goodman?
-
@catinreno It's only sexist if you make it sexist. I doubt he meant any harm by what he said, seeing how it is somewhat of a figure of speech. Want to be treated the same as a man? Then don't complain when you get called one ;)

Bowline is a knot that can be tied with just one hand.
-
Fuck. You beat me to it. LOL. He totally does.

@catinreno what are you smokin'?

Great "Quick One-Shot Movie" as you SAID edwyrd. Too bad the trolls on youtube didn't catch that. GREAT VID BRO. (plz ... people... don't flame for saying "bro", if any you ladies wanna be called "bro"?... /shudder) :)
whats the significants of a figure 8 over a butterfly knot?

@fireballfury1 i am not sure, however i would think a figure 8 would put less stain on the rope, now like i said, i am not sure, any one out there have an answer for the man? thanks for question, later ed.

@poopeybritches Yes, well, while I usually converse on a more polished level, sometimes however – the little redneck ogre in my mind, the part from my childhood, that I has kept locked up, mostly, in a'dam huge, farking big heap o'chains, for the saf'ty of all around, does manage ta get'oot! somtines It'll jus happen, what can'ya do? I axe ya, what can'yas do? Thank-you! for your comments and viewing my videos. Later Edward.

Great info...but... I don't want to sound like a feminist or anything, because I'm not, but men aren't the only ones who need to know how to tie knots. If a person is lost in the woods and trying to survive, it doesn't matter what gender they are. They need to know how to survive in the woods and that includes how to tie proper knots. So maybe in your next video, you can remember this and keep the "every man should know" part out. Just a suggestion since I found it really sexist. Just sayin'
