One of the best buggy beaches that I know of. Sandy Point to Waratah Bay is a 14km run along a wide, flat beach with no rocks, gullies or any obstacles along the way. On a good low tide the beach is usable for 5 to 6 hours. It's situated a little over 2 hours south east of Melbourne with scenic views across to Wilson's Promontory to the west. Labour day is a public holiday and also a 4 day meet of the extreme kite crew from around Aus. I had to wait a couple of extra days to get the right wind to make the run from Sandy Point to Waratah Bay. Started off with a 4m Beamer but it got pretty gusty out at the point and I changed down to a 3m Flow. Then, of course, the wind dropped off and I changed back to the Beamer. Didn't want to get too overpowered because there was almost no-one around if I got into trouble. Fabulous day, did 4 1/2 hours of buggying to cover 73km and a new pb of 64.4kph.
Great video and a fantastic place!
