Roxie 3 days after her successful FHO Surgery (Legg Perthes Disease)

Roxie (a papillon) had legg perthes disease on her left side.
The surgery was done on 9/8/10

Roxie was born on 11/8/08. We noticed her hesitating before she jumped on the couch at about 8 months old. We were told that Papillons have an issue with their knee caps popping on them and she has that so nobody thought to look into legg perthes before. She never cried or limped. She only started to limp for the first time on 8/17/10. We took her to the vet. He did an x-ray and was diagnosed with Legg Perthes Disease.

Thank you for sharing this. My min-pin was just diagnosed with this & the thought of corrective surgery was breaking my heart. now i feel more confident that it is the right thing to do! Hope Roxie is doing great now adays! :)
