  • Why is it that every back woods red neck crawls out of their hole when they see a vid about a dog and a raccoon? Wow you ppl are so tough, beating up a 10 - 15 pound animal. And if your dog managed to get killed by one, then it must be just as retarded. No one cares about your "tough man" stories and please quit making the south sound stupid!

  • I'm not from the city but I don't think that they should die because they inconvenience you. I've never understood that. My mother is a good example. She wants to kill deer because they eat her flowers. No hyperbole, she really wants them dead. Yeah, because your neighborhood status symbol is that important mom. Your reason is more pragmatic, but I still think that that's a bit harsh towards an intelligent, curious creature. I think that you need to move beyond your myopic view of "me and now".

  • Coons, lovers at heart!

  • @Immobilizer06 I'll believe you when you say the strain isn't in Canada, however I doubt the government has anything to do with it.

  • I used to rehab (state lic.) raccoons. They are awesome animals!

  • @bestamerica raccoon is in no way, shape or form a member of the rodent family. Someone sure needs to do some homework.

  • @AshtrayPolitics IF your dog hadn't ATTACKED the raccoon it wouldn't have had to defend itself (as ANY animal will do when attacked and cornered - a cat will likewise use its back claws to rip at a dog's belly as a defense) - why do you think they have back claws? The raccoon was purely defending itself against an aggressor. So for your father and you to 'beat to death' a poor raccoon who did nothing more than defend its own life makes YOU the monsters who should have prevented both deaths.

  • 4 words, "Get a Room"

4 right? I'm too sexy for science

  • Haha that raccoon is cute! omnomnom!

  • i fvcking want a raccoon now ! but it's illegal to own one in our country :-((

  • I had one as a kid and it was great fun for the first year or so, after which it got a lot less engaging. Something like puppies and kittens being the most amusing, adult animals, especially essentially wild ones like raccoons seem to lose their interest in interacting with us mere humans as they age...

  • @AshtrayPolitics Wow that is the most bull shit story i have ever heard... considering my dog got attacked by a cougar and lived. Raccoons are not capable of that type of damage im sorry, and the key words you type are "my dog attacked a raccoon" Your dog should have been put down for being a vicious monster, and you should be in jail for killing an animal that was just trying to defend itself from that vicious animal.
