Why did Matlock move to ABC in 1992? I thought it would be a success on NBC.

It moved to ABC in fall of 1992, so it was season 7-9. Seasons 1-6 remained on NBC, from 1986 to spring 1992.

Since Daniel Roebuck had played Alex Winthrop in a couple of previous episodes, I think they should have made it his character who joined Matlock's team later on.

@MiltownPunkette21 Brynn Thayer joined in the 7th season, and stayed through the eighth season. Carol Huston joined in the 9th and final season.You are right that spudtv miscalculated the season, though. This intro is from the 8th season, not the 7th. Conrad left after the 7th season, and the intro was re-edited.

I think maybe spudtv has the season wrong again......Carol Huston joined in the 7th season, yet this season features Brynn Thayer, and she joined in the 5th or 6th season.
