Newt Gingrich is on the rise and rightly so. He and Ron Paul are the only true conservatives and Newt is the only one with a realistic vision of how to get this country back on track.
He can and will win the nomination but he must quickly build a ground game in Iowa to woo caucus voters. There is no better way than bringing Sarah Palin supporters over into his camp since they are looking for the true conservative to bring down Obama. She has already had glowing things to say about his candidacy:

All he has to do is show in New Hampshire and easily get first or second in South Carolina in order to ride the wave into a victory in Florida.
It is not going to be easy, Ron Paul is definitely going to make a significant showing this time, and Romney is formidable.
But Newt's tremendous power is his ability to see our nation's problems in the context of historical precedent and synthesize solutions under the backdrop of his already extraordinary experience leading America. Others may see a broken old fat man; I see a champion with the power to restore America's greatness once again.

on PBS endorsed the idea of a “cap and trade” scheme to limit carbon emissions

voted for higher taxes on numerous occasions. While he was Speaker of the House, the amount of taxes collected Americans went from 1.001 trillion to1.511 trillion.

I feel like Newt has so much baggage that he won't last long against Obama. He's no stranger to corruption, so I don't think he'll be in the race much longer. Remember when RP created the tea party and single handedly took the house back for the republicans with all those freshman? He even spoke to occupy protesters and got applause. Hes a boss.

@MutantKush Look I like Paul but I see him getting stymied when he gets into office if he wins. He is really good at critiquing and condemning but when it comes to bringing the Dems and Repubs together to get stuff done I think he would fail big. Newt has lead and brought people together to implement solutions for this country. He can do it again. LOL you are not the first to say that.
