There are new threats and warnings coming from Japan with reports of a possible third explosion on the way at the Fukoshima nuclear plant. This follows Monday's second blast there which injured 11 people. Japanese officials have been reassuring locals that radiation levels at the plant are within legal limits. Russia is sending aid and rescuers to Japan to help with the aftermath of Friday's earthquake and tsunami, as well as to prepare for a potential new disaster... RT's Peter Oliver has more on Moscow's involvement.

  • the majority of you didn't believe just a few days ago the situation will get this bad.

And it will get only worse, sadly...For those who do not know, ~1 million ppl died after Chernobyl disaster - majority by slow death over years. Government believe in best case scenarios, media pictures the worst. What is your problem - no human being can wish another this nightmare, everyone in Ukraine knows what it is to live next to someone who is dying from radiation, no fun at all.

  • Japan was warned after the 2004 tsunami by the IAEA about several of their plants, they told us to go to hell. Japs have easterly winds and the pacific, Chernobyl did not. All of us will suffer the consequences. As recently as 2 weeks ago, we asked them to shut down a plant in an area expecting a large quake. Japan announced no action would be taken. Japan should never be forgiven. They are murdering us all.

  • when quake hit it shut down allthe reactors, which killed power grid, befor tsunami hit. it then takes 3-4 days to get them back online. bad planing, most reactors of that type should have a helium environment in outa building to stop hydrogen explosions..... ps fukushima plants were 100x more powerfull then chenobly

and radiation is now being detected in ground water and ocean

atleast in russia state was responsible

    can anyone say bankrupcy claim

  • @rongdisk23 ehh yeah i learned it a few days later it wasnt cuz of earthquake well yea it affected it but tsunami ruined the electonics and it blew up some reactors(by side effects of one reactor)

  • I say we send our donations in tomb stones... They didn't send our vets anything that layed in Pearl Harbor...
