The icy majesty of Turandot, the remote princess who eventually gives in to true love, is contrasted with the tender lyricism of her counterpart Liù and with the commedia dellarte humour of the three ministers. The wealth of musical invention work masks the works difficult origins. Is this going to be released on DVD? The cast and production are fantastic! DNO has so many fabulous productions though, I wish they were all released!
