Well the victory over Rangers was in that same season, but in 1988. It was the very next round if I'm not wrong. The victory over Dynamo was at the beginning of 1987 in the European Supercup. Steaua ruled in the late 80's.

Never had a ticket but remember listening to the game on a wireless with a shitty signal. I do remember not being able to tell the difference between interference and the noise of the crowd, such was the atmosphere.

Like it or not, at that time, everyone referred to a team from U.S.S.R as 'Russians'. Technically wrong and politically incorrect (especially when the team is from the Ukraine) but that was how we spoke at the time.

8 (eight) players in that Kiev team were in the Soviet Union World Cup squad the year before. What a result for Rangers.
