I've riden in an electric car once, and it is extremely comfortable. When it drives, it's an extremely stiff ride just like a diesel car and I really like that.

Responding to saxmanchiro et al- Mature people don't buy cars based on how"cool"they think they will look to other people.As transportation electric car technology is just developing. Gas burning is cheap,versitile.The government is giving rebates,still the value/price doesn't favor electric carsThat is why GM developed the Volt system but then we're talking about $40,000.
This only makes sense as a local commute system,with gas car for long distance,blackouts,battery down time transport,etc.
