Obama 'Takes More Vacations Than Any Human Being I've Ever Seen'
GRETA: I wanted to talk to you about the recent news about Pakistan and China. But first I want to ask you about your tweet. I can't resist. A recent tweet from you, on your Twitter account, says, Barack Obama played golf yesterday, now he heads to a 10-day vacation in Martha's Vineyard, nice work ethic.
THE DONALD: Well, the fact is, he takes more vacations than any human being I've ever seen. They used to complain about George Bush, but I understand he's already exceeded George Bush and we're not even through the year. So he likes vacation.

Men jailed for inciting riots on Facebook
Two men who attempted to use social networking site Facebook to incite riots during last week's unprecedented civil disorder in Britain were on Tuesday both jailed for four years, police said. Jordan Blackshaw, 20, from Cheshire and Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan, 22, from Warrington, were imprisoned after setting up Facebook pages calling for unrest in their home towns.
"Jordan Blackshaw and Perry Sutcliffe independently and from the safety of their homes may have thought that it would be acceptable to set up a Facebook page to incite others to take part in disorders in Cheshire," he said. "They were wrong."

Obama Ag Secretary Vilsack: Food Stamps Are A "Stimulus"
Obama's Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack: "Well, obviously, it's putting people to work. Which is why we're going to have some interesting things in the course of the forum this morning. Later this morning, we're going have a press conference with Secretary Mavis and Secretary Chu to announce something that's never happened in this country -- something that we think is exciting in terms of job growth. I should point out, when you talk about the SNAP program or the foot stamp program, you have to recognize that it's also an economic stimulus. Every dollar of SNAP benefits generates $1.84 in the economy in terms of economic activity. If people are able to buy a little more in the grocery store, someone has to stock it, package it, shelve it, process it, ship it. All of those are jobs. It's the most direct stimulus you can get in the economy during these tough times."

Study: An hour of TV can shorten your life by 22 minutes
After the age of 25, watching 60 minutes of television is like smoking two cigarettes, researchers find. The scientists at the School of Population Health at the University of Queensland studied 11,000 Australian adults who were aged at least 25 in the year 2000.
These figures found that a single hour of TV was responsible for the loss of just under 22 minutes of life, the news agency reported. Smoking two cigarettes has approximately the same effect.
Meanwhile, a large study in Taiwan found that doing just 15 minutes of moderate exercise a day might add three years to your life. Lead researcher Chi Pang Wen of Taiwan's National Health Research Institutes said dedicating 15 minutes a day to a moderate form of exercise, like brisk walking, would benefit anyone.

Obama's being "out of sight and out of mind" might really be the best thing for his political future. And it won't do my blood pressure any harm either. Did they say anything about youtube watching and having a beer??
curlybobz 6 months ago
@curlybobz No, but I would guess it's the same as smoking 3 cigarettes and bungee jumping one time.

Carrie, BBC radion news wheeled on some liberal think tank to say how terrible it was that the sentence was so harsh. 4 years in UK means 2 years MAXIMUM less parole. Unless it is reduced at appeal.
Our BBC is run by closet Marxists who hate the idea of disorder being due to human wickedness.
the British liberal left establishment is taken aback by how angry most Brits are about the failure of the police to hit the looters and arsonists harder. The police are afraid of criticism.

@stephenhayesuk I think the police should have come down harder as well. It's strange to me that so many people don't want to hurt or offend the criminals. What happened to the business owners and the people who work in those places that were burnt down? What about the people who were injured or died? I bet those people are hurt and offended.
