Vaio P upgraded to Windows 7 Beta. Upgrade keeps all the VAIO stuff: Xross Media Bar, Instant on, Motion Eye Camera and VAIO software. Much, much more responsive. Browsing with Firefox and display shortcuts.

  • when you clean install do you lose the preprogrammed viao stuff like viao movie story

  • Yes, a clean install wipes out the software that comes with the computer. It does leave the recovery partition intact unless you reformat/partition the drive.

If you go through my post you will see I'm talking about increasing the performance of the Vaio P. In this case performance is not measured by smoothness. I know about refresh rates of screens. I'm talking about how much work the computer's integrated graphics chip has to do. When I said, "I dont know what is technically going on" I was referring to whether or not the computer does less work when the screen is set to 40hz and not the more demanding 60hz.
