@BruceMajors Didn't he win a Pulitzer? Have you won anything comparable?

@marcostar57 rofl. You think schools can only exist if government makes them. You are obviously a brain damaged product of state skrewling
-
@BruceMajors Oh, did you build your own school? -- or maybe mommy and daddy did for you.

Sounds like the Republican/libertarian plan for "economic growth" ... I'm sure Ron Paul supporters would go for it.

There is a reason Mark Fiore never made it beyond coloring books. He is a victim of those government schools he thinks are so valuable.

And if you're really so convinced gov't is the cause of all the problems, go take a look at Germany. One of the highest tax rates in the world, one of the most socialized nations in Europe, and they're still one of the strongest economies in the western world. Not in spite of gov't and taxes, but because they still have manufacturing. Our problems, by and large, are because greedy corporations have sent all our manufacturing jobs overseas so they don't have to pay people livable wages.

@treetorn the government of ancient rome paid for infrastructure, the military, the law enforcement, the fire dept., etc. Exactly how do you define "recent"?
Perhaps you forget (or never bothered to learn) that the last time we had privatized fire departments in the US, we had to put an end to it because they were going around lighting fires just so they could extort money out of people as their homes burned and the privatized police did nothing because they got a cut of the profits.
@BlameTheFirst If we tried to copy hong kongs healthcare system we'd be called commies.
I guess you guys just have a fetish for wealth inequality, you want to be the ones living in the super expensive buildings pissing on cage dwellers.

@JaysGOP Yay, I got a computer, a twenty year old car and a thirty year mortgage on a house that five guys built in six weeks! The best part is, most ot the money that I spend on the house will go to the banker for his "hard" work of creating the money he loaned me from THIN AIR due to the "wonders of fractional reserve banking". Only a small fraction of what I pay will go to the craftsmen that BUILT the house. Maybe I should be thankful I don't owe the bankers for the design of the wheel?
