The grading system is based on the old ideals of syrup. Originally most syrup was turned into maple suger. For a general sweatner you wouldnt really want something with a strong taste.

@javaxsqft Yeah, but it's not a bucket of mud, only a little bit of debris. Also, I imagine only the outside of the barrel is dirty, which makes sense, as it seems like its constantly outside, so there's little point in cleaning it.

@jwhite8789 Oh come on! I could "boil" a bucket of mud and it would be sanitary but not very appealing. Even a little cheese cloth would at least get the twigs and dirt out. Take some pride in your workmanship!
