Real Bout Fatal Fury Special: Nightmare Geese

Flashback to around 1997, when Fatal Fury was slowly losing steam to The King Of Fighters and Art of Fighting was totally deaded. The latest game in the series was Real Bout Fatal Fury Special, which seemed to be some sort of remake of Fatal Fury 2's storyline (The intro has Terry all beaten up by Krauser)

Since the last game spelt his end, people thought Geese Howard surely wouldn't be in this game...would he?

As it happened, players who where particularly good at the game, after beating Krauser, were presented with asurprise: It was Geese, but not as you know him. First thing was, there was a strange fiery aura around his feet. His attacks came out faster, he could throw TWO Shippukens (FOUR, given the chance) Jaeiken now looked like a HUGE human fireball, his Raising Storm was a claw, he had a new super, Deadly Rave. And when you lost, you couldn't continue. Geese laughs at you. Beat him, and Geese laughs at you LIKE A SLASHER MOVIE MANIAC.

People refer to this version of the Geeseter Bunnie as "Nightmare Geese", owing to the honking great "NIGHTMARE" title that appears before you fight him.

You would think that he wouldn't be playable. He IS, however, but only on the AES Console version. Wanna know how? Okay:

Wait til the Ranking Screen appears. Then press Forward, Forward-Up, Up, Backward-Up, Backward, Down-Backward, Down, Down-forward, Forward, then move your fingers to Down-Forward again and hold that position. Then press A (Punch button), B(Kick Button) and C(Strong button) in rapid succession. Done it right? You know you will when Geeser the Cheeser himself beckons you to "come on!"

Since this is Geesey, we'll see if he has what it takes to make Rugal run for Mummy.

Okay, changes to Geese:

New Reppuken animations: They look more fluid, huh? Furthermore, they're QCB, this time for some reason

Jaeiken: Now a large purple fireball

Shippuken: Still a fireball, though quick fingers can launch a second

NEW MOVE: Double Shippuken: He throws TWO Shippus at the same time. Press it again, and he adds a third and fourth to the mix.

Atemi Nagi: Strong version is now an Irish-Whip-esque move.

Raising Storm: IS now a painful CLAW rather than the CAGE. This also leaves him unguarded from the rear, a slight problem for him

Deadly Rave: Just so you know, its: Punch, Punch, Kick, Kick, Kick, Strong, Strong, Strong, QCB and Strong. Hard, huh?

Anyway, Geese's music theme is a re-arranged vresion of Soy Sauce for Geese from Fatal Fury Special.

His ending is short. He simply declares that he's leaving everything to Billy Kane, and when Billy asks him where he's off to, Geese simply bids him "Later" and vanishes.

*Sigh* SNK should be on top of the fighting game franchise right now. Their games had style, their characters where awesome don't get me wrong I like Street Fighter, but everyone on there is so 1-dimensional man. Their just NOW starting to make some interesting characters.

King of Fighters needs it's Super Street Fighter 4.. I don't care if it's 2D or 3D 2D fighting. man a game of SSF4's caliber from SNK would be awesome.

@anburafavasquez how do i unlock geese in rb special? i remember when i first pop up the fatal fury vol 2 disc and play and it was rb special and i was playing geese.... then next time pklay again and turns out he was hidden.... did i do something to play him? i press select and no work. i not mistaken... i play geese in rb special. geese with aura on his feet is only on rb special right?
