It is an honor to see that my brother is still honored and respected. When I see the current martial artists perform, I see how much Jon has influenced their styles. It is a tribute to my brother for what he brought to martial arts competition, changing its face forever. I know that if my brother performed this same form today, I believe that he would still win. My brother is faster, more precise than ever. My family and I thank you all of you who have posted these videos of Jon!

No, I don't compete anymore. I still teach and train though. I miss the days of NASKA when the finals were packed and when you actually had to do martial arts to win.

It's old school kama at its finest... I still think he would kick ass with this type of form... it has that extra "it factor"... can't describe it
-
true that. even today you dont see that.
the closest ive seen to that style was arnold chon, who learned from jv. whihc was still old skool
the new kama forms have a dif style and they can be seen as "as good as" some of the old school forms, but this is a rare way of doing it
Absolutely incredible! I was there in Italy for this performance. Jon was also my instructor when I was competing. In my opinion he is still the most dynamic forms competitor ever. His explosion and stage presence can't be beaten. I miss the old days of NASKA.
