Hi @samjardim, I love music both jazz and bossanova! I just think they're two different styles that share things in common! but it is just my opinion .....

@ThePirocadoida Man is easy to understand, I do! Jazz wouldn't be the same without bossa nova and vice versa! Is not competition is addition. You can see elements of american jazz in there and that's what makes it so special, is the perfect combination! Bossa nova gave the jazz what was missing, complexity with melody, organizing the mess that sometimes would come out of it!
