@707Gian Yea we got him at a good time too when the NFL is a pass happy league. When defense is needed the most. Sometime I think ray lewis was drafted in the wrong era.

@SportsFreakfrom94598 jj stokes was not a bad pick at the time. just never panned out.but if you wanna hate stokes even more we traded away the next years pick to move up to get stokes to the browns who became the ravens and you know who they got with that pick? ray lewis. bummer.

JJ Stokes was the reason John Taylor was forced into early retirement, he was the reason the 49ers let Ed McCaffrey go to Denver, and he was the guy the 49ers chose to keep over Jerry Rice. Imagine if Steve Young had Rice, McCaffrey, and Owens from 1996 onward, he easily could have won another Super Bowl or two.
