I found that the best quality for lowest file size is setting the resize to 720 (who needs 1080 anyway?), and then selecting a 2mbps bitrate. you'll get about a 2-3gb file with very good quality. Of course, everyone has their preference.
As for the time it takes - yeah it can take a while, I've managed to get my time to about 2hr30m per bluray conversion - it also vastly differs from PC spec.
Trying this out now. I have a huge 22GB MKV from MakeMKV and trying to get it down to dvd size. Ill post the results soon!... Takes a while to convert. Perhaps its my crap PC :)

though, im not sure i've ever tried...
why do you want it to be m2ts?
surely mkv is a much more durable and versatile container.

hey do you know if using ripbot could make a 9 gb blue ray .mkv file into a 3.99 gb m2ts file?
