The Pak-Rifle weighs 16 oz and shoots 0.22LR shells, which weigh less than 0.11 oz apiece. If one is trekking through areas where upland bird and small game abounds, then adding 20 oz of rifle and shells can allow you to spend many more days in the backcountry than what might be possible simply by carrying all of your own food. A similar argument can be made for an ultralight fishing kit. Consequently, equipment that can be used for foraging and hunting deserves some consideration for trekkers undergoing longer journeys in remote locations where food weight might become prohibitive, and resupply logistics are challenging.

  • How much does one of these little guys run

  • Nice little gun. It would be a great survival rifle. It looks extremely well made also.Thanks.

  • Where is this that you're allowed to use 22lr for bird hunting, most spots don't allow this because of how unsafe it can be firing long rang rounds at birds.

  • Every rifle can break down with a screwdriver.

I'd sooner buy a Crickett for $99, break it down into 2 parts, have my hiking buddy pack the stock while I pack the barreled action, we'd only be lugging 1 pound each LOL

These skeletal rifles are ugly in my opinion, and because they are not massed produced they cost like $400+, relatively high priced in relation to the firepower.

  • how much did this cost ?

  • @MrHobomatic That is not the accuracy of the weapon. That is the shooters ability to fire the weapon accurately. Yes a longer sight radius makes a weapon easier to sight BUT given the intention of this weapon which is packing and the limitations of the round for the purpose, which I take to be hunting small game this limits the range to 100 yards or less. There is no advantage in using this over say a Ruger or a browning buckmark both of which are more than capable of that mission

  • @TGLymantaiste Longer muzzle does come into play with iron sights. The probable area where the round will land is a much smaller area if you can keep the front sight of a longer weapon in alignment with rear sight. Also deviations in sighting with shorter steel sight sets will have a greater impact on accuracy the shorter the distance between rear and front. Stability is important too, and arms are less stable than shoulders.

  • what a beauty!

  • Looks good, I doubt a "take-down" like this would be legal over here though. Pitty!

    Regards.
