Approximately one third of cancer deaths worldwide are tied to lifestyle and diet, making them largely preventable. The theme of the 2012 World Cancer Day is prevention; the goal is to raise cancer awareness around the world and help devise strategies to fight the disease. Dana-Farber's Judy Garber, MD, MPH, talks about global cancer education and the steps individuals can take to reduce their cancer risk.
