@GadsbyF Please explain stinkbug, just saying that name doesn't help any newbies. Stinkbug is when you slide and grab the board between your legs. In this video he's folding his back leg forward so he can grab outside the back leg, avoiding stinkbugging.

Yes it will be easier, and you do have to have some speed to slide.
No, you don't have to go very fast to slide if you know what you're doing.
