I told them I was a US citizen.
I told them I was on a business trip.
I told them I had no drugs or humans in the car.

That wasn't enough. They wanted to search the car, and I invoked my 4th amendment rights.

I DID NOT RESIST OR FIGHT BACK. YET I WAS TAZERED REPEATEDLY AND SHOVED IN BROKEN GLASS REPEATEDLY!

I was IN the United States!!! I had crossed no international border!!!

This is a violation of 4th amendment rights, if you do not have a warrant or probable cause to search , you may not search a vehicle , and they do it randomly. I was on I-10 near Sierra Blanca, TX. and at least once I was detained. I can name one time, November 20, 2007 I was detained for 30 minutes I was driving from El Paso to Van Horn.

If it was real criminal you'd side with the criminal against the cops. Now that it's an actual good guy, you side WITH the cops. Why the double standard? Have you seen the entire video? The pastor was definitely NOT arrogant. And the patrol were smiling throughout the incident. AND I LOVE COPS! This situation was just confusing. They are directing their attention towards the guys who post no threat, while allowing the real threats to get away with breaking laws there.

@darrellmellissa the whole thing is set up to be challenged legally and ultimately thrown out. it isn't meant to deal with illegals, it's meant to suppress democratic votes as local police will "mistakenly" detain legal hispanic citizens who aren't carrying their birth certificates to the polls. this is an election year. the detentions will be investigated and found unlawful but meantime, thousands of hispanic citizens will be disenfranchised and the election will be over.

@darrellmellissa i made the factually true statement that the federal gov't has the authority to protect the borders. if you're going to make things up, you're only going to weaken your own position. the governor of arizona does not have the authority to circumvent federal law because she feels that they "aren't doing anything" and local police don't have the authority or training to enforce federal laws.
