never saw mike auldridge play a flattop, he ain't no slouch there, either.

It seems lilke he is playing in a different tuning. When he holds the bar straight across the strings you can hear a sixth in the chord.

The tuning is dobro G tuning.......Randy Beavers is one of the finest pedal steel players.....so his style is different than a "dobro" player.....you'll notice that he rarely lifts the bar......and he's playing mostly single string....being a pedal player, he's well versed in C6, so he knows his way around western swing.....
