The Vermillion, South Dakota-Newcastle, Nebraska Bridge is on the Nebraska and South Dakota Border crossing the Missouri River. It joins Nebraska Highway 15 to South Dakota Highway 19.
THis is worth the trip, this bridge spans the widest part of the Missouri river and on the Nebraska side there is a vantage lookout point that they designed to be able to look out over the river without seeing the bridge. The vantage point is on the east side of the road. I was at the bridge groundbreaking and I have taken my kids many times. *****
A long, lonely stretch of highway! I enjoy roadtrips especially along lonely stretch of highways because it gives me both a feeling of freedom and isolation.I enjoy solitude and isolation, and being away from the hustle and bustle of noisy places like the big cities.if I win the lottery I'd buy an RV and spend the rest of my days driving all over the USA and Canada, and as far as Alaska.I would live on the road
