  • I was never sure about this, but Earth isn't exactly in the same spot day after day. The planet goes around the sun. Sun goes around the galaxy. Galaxy hurtling through the universe. If you warped into the point of space you occupied 10 years ago, how far away would you be from now? Does that even make sense with time travel in a fictional way? Imagine Marty and doc going back to 1955 and warping into a void of space. "Where the deuce is earth?" "Its that little dot of light over there"

  • @newinchwonder He would have to create a time travel/space travel machine. Either that or make an accurate judgment were the earth would be at a given time and travel to that spot before going through time. That's of course to assume that your point in space AND time are relative rather than fixed. But it's just fiction and if you think about it too long you come to the conclusion that time travel isn't scientifically possible. At least not as far as we've currently imagined it in media.

  • @MediaMocke what do you mean buy not this you tube

  • @mariabbb1964 i do but not this youtube clip :P

  • @MediaMocker you got love this movie

  • @sebra1818 nope.

Just kidding. I DO have a sense of humor. I was just pointing out that the logical part of their comment was wrong. I admit it would rather funny if Doc and Marty materialized in space... at least for the fraction of a second before the wormhole's event horizon dissipates which would then release the air trapped inside. That would then cause them to spontaneously explode from the pressure differential. After all, a Delorean ain't exactly airtight.

  • @protoborg don't you ever see the funny side of thing, instead of the logical side

  • @newinchwonder There is just one problem with that idea. In the local coordinate plane the Earth is always in the same position at the same time of the year. Also, the gravity well of the planet would cause the worm hole created by the Delorean to remain on Earth rather than end up somewhere in space. Therefore, no matter how far you travel back or forward in time, you will always end up on Earth at roughly the same location as you left.

  • The General was like "HOLY SHIT, WTF was that?"

  • fuckin nerds >.>

  • Earth is destroyed by Death Star Already
