@anneo1211 Well put! Glad you enjoyed the video. There definitely is so much more to this dance than the moves themselves. I love that there is a place for every body-type. I an honored to meet so many amazing people while doing what I love. I hve a feeling you are one of them!

@0015804875 So true. I see all shapes and sizes in my classes. Some women can eat 1200 calories, work out for 2 hours a day, and not see an ounce of weight reduction. Others have to eat 2500 calories a day just to not look like a skeleton. Grass is always greener I guess.

@Ratarow Also, just so you know, there really are people with medical conditions that make loosing weight nearly impossible once it is on. The student to whom I think you are referring suffers from such a thing. Imagine how frustrating that would be, especially w/ people like you out there judging her based on a few seconds of video. She was happy to be in this b/c she wanted to encourage all women, especially those struggling to loose weight, to overcome their insecurities & try belly dancing.

@smilingbrilliant This video was intended to offer information to use during regular classes and practices, not to be a choreography video in and of itself. Sorry if the listed title was confusing (I didn't make it up). But I think you'll find that keeping that information in mind will hep with routines you do create. Take care!

@Ratarow I've had similar (though less hostile) thoughts regarding the unfairness of hunger v. obesity in our world. If you read some real research on the subject, I believe you'll find that it's a more complicated issue than you appear to think. I believe your animosity and bully-like comments are misplaced. Perhaps you could use your energy to alleviate hunger in this world and educate others instead of alienating people by complaining about it on youtube.

@xxAnimexxFreakxx So glad you enjoyed it. We really wanted to offer something a bit different; to help round out the information out there on the web. Thanks!

It is really annoying how many people judgenother people, saying that they need to lose weight, or to gain weight, because they are not "normal". Some people are naturally supper not thin, or super thin. Get over it.
@Ratarow
What kind of dancer are you that you need to insult others? You must be very insecure.

I loved this video. More teachers should work with their students in how to learn skills like this. Wonderfully put :). As for the fat comments... gosh people if you are making fun of a woman for not being a tooth pick then someone needs to start making fun of you for not being a nice person. Plus it is then clear you dont know the history of belly dance. Its not meant for the tooth picks out there so dont bash the larger for dancing. My favorite belly dancer in my area is a very large lady.
