just to let u know Brianna didn't take it that way and no big deal. Dance competition is a funny thing, in that, sometimes it brings out the bad or the good in people, just remember dance is supposed to be fun and if your having fun then you're dancing the right way!!!!! MDP U KNOW!!!!!

Brianna dances 2-3 hours a day during the school week and depending on the schedule multiple hours on the weekend. She loves modern, lyrical and jazz but loves to try new styles, she is having a blast this year with hip hop. Thanks for the great comments!!

well yes, the choreography was lyrical not "ballet". You're right about that. I just don't like Amazing Grace as a dance piece. I didn't realize it was used for dance so often, but after searching youtube, I can see that it's used all the time.

Don't get me wrong she is a good dancer, but I think lyrical is so emotional and someone her age is just unable to do that, but she really is so good!

The girl did a great job. I wish I could do half as good being more than double her age. I must say an eight year old should be more covered up and with this song she really should be. But other than that she did amazing. Loved the dad.

wow! Im so jealous she is an amazing dancer! You can tell she loves what she does! She has fun and it shows! Keep it up Bri and I hope she tries out for sytycd when shes old enough I will vote and pretty sure everyone will for someone her age to be this good is AMAZING YOU GO GIRL

Also, if you watch videos like the infamous "Single Ladies" jazz group (with seven-year-olds dressed and moving like little strippers), you'll see that dance competition can be such a scary place for a parent. People are very quick to defend young dancers who's moves and costumes are too racy by pointing out the amazing technique. This girl is proof that you can have mature technique but still ultimately dance with the innocence and purity of a child.
