Blue Footed Booby, mating dance; Blue Footed Boobies - Mating Dance Galapagos Islands

Taken in September, 2009 in the Galapagos, Islands. This mating dance is primarily between two birds, but near the end, the camera scans to the left to see a little male bird who had been trying hard to get the attention of the female. This unfortunate little guy lost his enthusiasm as time went on, and by the time the camera panned over to view him, his movements were slower, less deliberate, and he was hanging his little head.... Not at all the arching and posturing of a self-assured male........ So sad....... Better luck next time?
