@EKfisherman and made the guy leave, saying what grown man tries to steal a kids fish i was so dumbfounded about the whole situation and the amount of people that i kinda got a bad taste in my mouth for salmon fishing ...way to stressful but i thanked the guy and packed my gear and left i live in the east kootenays so i rarely even bump into any one on the river , let alone have fights over fish with guys haha but i would really love to try again, at a spot that doesnt have so many people!

ive fished the vedder once when i was about twelve by myself on the river with about 60 other guys elbow to elbow finally after two hours of nothing i finally hooked into a really nice spring , first one ever , and the asshole oriental guy beside me didnt like that i had a fish on , so he tried casting over my line to try snag the fish right off my hook to steal it!! i was so mad and screaming at him until i finally lost the fish, some guy noticed and came over and threw his gear in the river!
