KU Students: Marijuana is a SAFER Choice

Students at the University of Kansas rally on campus during the SAFER Campuses Initiative Nationwide Day of Action. Students at more than 80 colleges and universities participated in the day of action, during which they highlighted the relative safety of marijuana compared to alcohol and called on their schools to allow them to make the safer choice when they party.

The short term memory lose is just the effect while it's in your system. Just like the slurred speech effect from alcohol. It's not a permanent effect. It's just a part of the inebriation and returns to normal as the effect wears off.

And it's a good thing. It's good to be able to let go of what's on your mind, so you can relax and be free for awhile, not being perpetually tortured by repetitive thoughts of the past & future. Cannabis shows us how to live in peace here & now.

@83Mysterio not neccisarily. im a habitual user, thats true. but i smoke all day, starting when i get up and i have great grades in school and do good at my job. try to find one alcoholic who drinks everyday (i know many) and is as productive.

@jhaze918 Thats obviously a lie about the withdrawals, you odnt get withdrawals with weed, you must have just go sick because... well... watch the movie super high me, its proof, hes sober for 30 days, then smokes from 4:20 in the morning to when he goes to bed, smokes a bowl or 2 every hour for 30 days, then is sober again for 30 days, watch it and you might see weed isnt bad or make you dumb because his SAT scores went up when he was stoned

@KMascak yea, the dreams, ive had people i know quit for a little and they also said they had wierd dreams...then this other dude i know who smokes, which im actually not sure y he smokes because he believes every piece of government propaganda, it pretty funny...hes like yea weed does make you dumber, and when i quit i got sick from withdrawals..im like yea fukin rite...kids wierd

i smoked every day multiple times a day for 4 years. then i had to quit so i could take a piss test and the only withdraw symptoms i had was wierd dreams and lack of sleep for the first couple nights. i wasnt shaking or irritable or craving it, i just wanted to smoke but it wasnt a big deal

@83Mysterio its really all about personal responsibility....real drunks,who are actually addicted, drink from morning till night...and alcohol can give really bad withdrawals...like you could die...now if you were "addicted"to weed, which i dont think that word applies to weed, but if you smoked it everyday then stopped, you wouldnt have withdrawals or anything..its mentally addictive not physically..you'd probably just be like,fuck i wanna smoke lmao
