Woking on the Saturday 17th January 2009. The first special train is SWT owned BR Blue 4-VEP 3417 'Gordon Pettit' on its run with 73109 'Battle of Britain' to East Grinstead for its handover to the Bluebell Railway. BUT the is a rumour that Knights Rail Services, down at Eastleigh with two CIGs, want the set to use. That is becasue the Bluebell Railway just want a coach at East Grinstead to advertise for their extenstion from the existing line to the mainline station at East Grinstead. But KRS have said they'll have the unit and do a coach up for the Bluebell Rly in exchange for the 4-VEP. BUT this is a rumour so don't count on it.
Anyway, the second special train is SR Rebuilt Merchant Navy 35028 'Clan Line' on a VSOE service for Southampton docks from London. on the back is 67021. Did that make sense? Enjoy!
