Thanks for the tutorial! It helped a lot. A question: how did you highlight all the distortion in red? I tried clicking on view->show clipping (I think it sounded fitting), but although it's checked, no red areas appear. I have a distorted audio (some overload at parts), so it should be visible...

Thank you so much for this educational tutorial. I fixed quite some distortion in my upcoming song HAL9000. It would have been pretty embarrassing, publishing it the way it was. After using ClipFix it's ready to say "Hello World" :-)

@dheisman21892 It's checked, yet no clipping is showing. When zoomed in, the place where the wave goes above the line is very obvious... Ah well.
