@BigMrSox Look it up again, you're right, my bad. They were Russian SA-22 (Pantsir-S1s) that had failed to intercept the A-4s. Said here that the Iranians were concern over those failures, and that might had motivated them to buy the S-300s from Russia. Though, personally I highly doubt the effectiveness of long range SAM systems, Russian or other. Best way to take down a plane, is with a plane.

@TheDaranas thanks, I've put a mental note; might be subject to later translations and/or history rewriting attempts though, one can't be really sure what exactly happened back then...
I know that by now "democracy" has the same root cause as "communism", "socialism", "anarchy" and neojudaism. The proponents even tend to hide in the same London when hit hard for their crimes, heh.

@mshigorin Yeah I was a bit quick, as politeia is both, a title of Plato's work and a political system for Aristotele. My bad there. But i read that Aristotele revised his idea of democracy. In his early works it was the antagonism to politeia, but in his later works democracy loses a lot of it's negative aspects.

@TheDaranas the funny thing seems that the Romean translation got it wrong, and it was democracy originally written as a self interest counterpart. Anyways, what we see by now is rather selfish, I concur.
But I think that people of goodwill should not lose hope, we *can* stand together!
