  • Hmmm...brava for playing Kapustin. This sample I thought was a mixed bag, though. The Etude sounds AMAZING. Clean, crisp, clear, metronomic (I mean that in a good way, because I think this piece demands it). (I wish I could do repeated notes like this!) The Daybreak, though, I didn't like as much. It's one of my favorite Kapustin pieces, but I think it needs to have a steady beat supporting its freedom. I heard too much ambiguity here. But this makes me want to find the recording!
