I have a busted acer aspire, and I removed the DVD-R/CD-R Disk drive, 80GB Hard drive, 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi card and I planning on salvaging the other stuff. I am going to remove the fan so I can get a motor, and the screen, now that I know I can sell it. The laptop has had hot chocolate spilt on it, but some of those parts will be useful for updating my 11year old desktop.

That was great....except for the burp at the end.

Thanks for the video. My laptop died a few days ago and I'm getting a new one soon and I want to recycle the dead one. This video had very useful advice.

Cute burp at the end there, Hank. :)
That was REALLY USEFUL INFORMATION. I actually have two laptops that are broken/old and I just have them sitting around. The best thing was the hard drive, though. I could definitely use an external hard drive.
Question: Can you use a hard drive from a PC as an external hard drive for a Mac? Anyone?

he does
