  • These are not only great for our planet, they're beautiful to watch. I just cannot fathom why so many people oppose them, they're morons.

  • @kkohler03 well it makes sense to have wind farms on land in the US ,since there is so much land available...

  • fuckin shit fuckin tyoical shit britain

  • people could actually build a wind turbine tower made out of three turbines , a super gigantic one , a big one , and a normal one , but it would need a lo of stability

  • A Oil Tanker will knock them down in the intrest of fuel dependancy.

  • @Plastering4u Well, a gas power plant (no combined cycle) is the cheapest based on capital cost, but most expensive based on operation costs (due to cost of Nat. Gas), whereas wind is very capital intensive, but has very low operating costs. I think wind CAN compete w/ gas relatively easily, but it might not be able to compete w/ very cheap sources like coal.

  • @kkohler03 Oh i c. Thanks for the info.

  • @Topher2088 While the US has the most wind capacity, we do not have much in terms of off-shore wind

  • Offshore wind power costs three times as much as a gas-fired plant capable of producing the same amount of electricity....that´s why governments in Europe have introduced subsidies to convince companies to invest in expensive new plants

  • this has to be really old..because the US is now the world leader in wind energy production with 35,000MW..We're shooting for 20% of total energy to be produced by wind power by 2030. Cant compare to Germany though... over 50% renewable energy by 2030. Gotta love the Germans
