Having gotten their start in 1993, Stuck Mojo was always an easy target for criticism, if not for their use of fusion of metal and rap -- "overdue" or "generic" were the most common jabs -- and even bigotry from those unable to accept their African-American frontman Bonz. Regardless of the negative or demeaning heckles when they first started in their home base of Atlanta, GA, Stuck Mojo continued on and eventually scored a deal with Century Media Records in 1994. With the accompaniment of guitarist Rich Ward, Corey Lowery on bass, and Bud Fontsere on drums, the release of Snappin' Necks debuted in 1995 with a plethora of touring to follow within the next year.

  • I saw these guys live three times in the mid and late 90's. All in small clubs being crushed against the stage as bonz and corey were spitting and sweating all over my friends and I. Kickass band with a totally original style. I wish that there were more bands similar to them, not exactly like them, of course, because they invented the sound that I call Power groove metal, that I love and try to emulate with my guitar.

  • First heard of these guys in a skate video back in the 90's, loved them

  • I've ALWAYS wondered what the voice in the intro is saying and where they got it from? Devon Townsend made that album sound AMAZING with all his sampling and production! I remember when I saw these guys in a club with Strapping Young Lad...Bonz was doin that welding pig thing on stage, amazing!

  • We used to blow the speakers in my firebird to Stuck Mojo in the late 90's. Pigwalk rocked from start to finish!

  • STUCK MOJO OWNES THE MASQUERADE IN ATLANTA WHEN THEY PLAY THERE!! (or used to play there) i think they still do their usual New Years thing there....

  • LOVE Stuck Mojo, but they ripped the grinding wheel off of a bind called Nihilist from Atlanta back in the day :-) still bad ass!

  • Dude....Cotton Club, Wreck Room, Masquerade, Dark Horse Tavern....those were the days! now everything has turned gay

  • Dont believe all the bullshit that bigmonkeyman44 said, a false guitarist that try to everybody likes shitty mojo lol a said guitarist he is not, JA,JA,JUAS,JUAS. Bigmonkeyman44 is a joke.

  • I was there that night! My band, Malacious Crumb, opened up for them. You can see my bald head in the crowd. It was at the old Cotton Club in Atlanta...

  • At first I thought it was just noise then it got humid. I tap danced into the bathroom that's where it sounds the best and you can watch yourself in the mirror.
