This piece totally took the final bout of rocky 3 to a different level of intensity. I wonder which way this came about, whether Conti wrote completely around the already edited scene, or the scene was ultimately edited around the music. I'm pretty sure I hear some Gustav Holst influence as well, which to me is cool. I also can't help but rock out and laugh a little when that driving 70's style muted guitar and drumset are inserted into an otherwise entirely symphonic piece...only Bill Conti!
