In the lowland tropical rainforest of Borneo, sun bears feed on a wide variety of wild fruits, and invertebrates such as termites, ants, beetles, beetle larvae, honey, etc.
They use their strong curved claws and large canine teeth to tear apart logs, insect nests and to look for their food.
In Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, the rescued sun bears spend most of their time in the forest enclosure looking for natural food items.
This is a video footage of Lawa, one of our rescue adult female sun bear digging on a pile of delayed log and found what she is looking for, and consider as delicacy - pill millipede (Glomeris connexa, Order Spaerothridda)
